Vendor Financial Assistance Fund
50% will go to our Vendor Financial Assistance Fund. This is a dedicated account used exclusively to offset vending fees. As costs rise, this program has become increasingly vital. Your support ensures our vendors can apply for financial assistance at every event, keeping more money in the pockets of new and lower-income queer and ally creators.
Market Operations
50% will go toward Market Operations. These funds help us cover the essential costs of running a community-centered business, including rent for a physical office space at The Commonwealth in Madison, WI, venue rentals, vendor amenities, and paying our staff fair compensation.
To be clear about our status, The Big Gay Market is a for-profit company. We chose this structure because it gives us more flexibility to "pay it forward" to our community and vendors directly, without the administrative restrictions and red tape necessary to maintain tax-exempt status.
Please note that because we are a for-profit business, contributions are not tax-deductible, but they are 100% reinvested into the health and growth of this market.
